Is this a public event that can be attended?

The 2020 Woodward Dream Show is not open to the public, and is an invite-only show that will be live streamed on this website and other social platforms.

How are you complying with COVID-19 protocol?

We care about your health and safety. We will have an approved healthcare risk mitigation plan in effect and administered by an onsite third party medical resource. We will provide masks, nitrile gloves, and hand sanitizers throughout the show and reminders to practice social distancing will be posted. High contact areas will be sanitized regularly. Hospitality and gathering areas will have ushers on hand to remind and help maintain reasonable occupant counts.

What extra steps could I take to keep myself safe at the event?

We have hand sanitizing stations that we recommend using throughout your time at the event and free face masks will be offered. We encourage maintaining social distancing throughout your time at the Dream Show and we recommend refraining from touching your face during the event.

Where do I park?

For Thursday, Aug. 13th and Friday, Aug. 14th, park in the M1 Concourse parking lot. It is off South Blvd. Enter from Howland Ave. across from the Woodward Dream Show pedestrian entrance and admissions driveway. It will be marked. All offsite parking will be at an attended lot. For Saturday, Aug. 15th’s Crusin’ the Concourse, parking will be onsite at M1. Regardless of which day, all handicap access parking is onsite at M1 Concourse.

Will there be food, beverage, and restrooms onsite?

Motor City’s premier caterer, Forte Belanger, will be catering all concessions at Woodward Dream Show. Clean and maintained, climate controlled mobile restrooms will be provided. ADA compliant modular restrooms and hand wash stations will be provided as well.

I am interested in volunteering this year, how do I register?

Are there any benefits to getting involved with this event?

Volunteers will have front row exposure to the planned events. With 4.5 – 5 hour time commitments you will still have time in your day to enjoy the show. Additionally, you will receive a shirt and hat. You will also become a member of an exclusive alumni with invitations to volunteer for future events.

Is there any training or experience required to perform my volunteer assignment?

That is dependent on the volunteer assignment selected and your skill sets. Many assignments for set up require basic manpower. Some are more customer oriented and require good people skills. There are select tasks that will require someone with specialty skill sets.

How old do you have to be to volunteer? Are there any requirements to volunteer?

The minimum age is 18 unless an exemption has been approved.

I'm interested in more than just one volunteer area - can I work in multiple areas during the event?

Yes, you can and more than one day if you like.

I registered online and chose my top three volunteer preferences, when will I be informed which volunteer area I have been assigned to?

As soon as your application is processed by Volunteer Services, you will receive a confirmation email noting that it has been received. Confirmation of your actual volunteer assignment will be sent about a week before The Woodward Dream Show.

Will food, beverage, and shelter be provided for the volunteers?

Yes, there will be a dedicated tent in the arena area for volunteers to take a shift break. Food and beverage will be available to all volunteers.

Will there be an area for volunteers to keep their personal belongings?

Although there will be a dedicated volunteer tent, we ask that volunteers do not bring any valuables with them, as we are not held responsible for any loss or damage to personal property.

Will I have to wear a uniform?

You will receive a Woodward Dream Show Volunteer T-Shirt prior to the event. Please hold onto your volunteer shirt distributed and wear it during the entirety of the event. We will ask you for your size preference in advance.
